As the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop is being celebrated, the women who worked behind the scenes have been glaringly absent. These women quietly toiled in the trenches and have curated what is known as Pop Culture. Today, these "Sheroes" who championed The Culture of a genre no one expected to last -so much so- that Hip-Hop is now classified as the most-listened-to-genre globally! About The Creators:
LaJoyce Brookshire and Michelle Joyce are Co-Creators of the Women Behind The Mic™ Book/Lecture/Docu-Series and The Movement. Together they have written a Curriculum for high-schoolers and collegiates to learn about careers in the Entertainment Industry. Affectionately known as "The Good Doctor" and "The Digital Chick" respectively, the two have been making GOOD TROUBLE for more than two decades.
