Descriere completă

The purpose of this book is to present a computer oriented numerical approach to study the effects of variable viscosity and thermal conductivity on flow and heat mass transfer of micropolar fluid under different flow situations. Both fluid viscosity and thermal conductivity are considered as the inverse linear functions of temperature. Mathematical formulation of the problem under consideration is presented and the similarity transformation is applied to reduce the system of partial differential equations and their boundary conditions describing the problem into a boundary value problem of ordinary differential equations. The equations are solved numerically by shooting technique and the results are shown graphically. Emphasis has been given on the influence of the viscosity and thermal conductivity parameters on the flow field. From the study we can conclude that the assumption of constant properties may lead to errors in the design of fluid machinery and in various flow problems. This book may help the researchers in this field, so at the end of each chapter the coding in C language for the concerned boundary value problem is given.
