She moved to Mexico in 2005. Lois Sonna Mark attended Roosevelt College in Chicago, IL. She served as journalist, women's editor, and columnist for Chicago's Citizen Newspapers. After moving to Mexico in 1968, she built Irapuato's Instituto Norteamericano de Estudios Bilingużes into a major institution and restored the historic Casa de la Inquisición for its campus.
