Tess Corrigan returns to her Newfoundland birthplace, an out-port called the Cove, and agrees to stand as the Liberal candidate in the forthcoming provincial election. Among her other works are the novel A Marriage of Masks, which won the Thomas Raddall Award for Atlantic Fiction, and When Things Gets Back to Normal, a moving memoir about her husband's sudden death. The feature film Come Back Paddy Riley, for which she co-wrote the script, is currently in development.
