What if the prayer you thought was for someone else was actually the beginning of God's work in you, revealing what He wanted to heal in you along the way?
I felt drawn toward a fast, but I wasn't convinced it was something I was ready to do. I had my reasons for hesitating and every intention of pushing the thought aside. Then came a dream - one that became more confirmation than I could have ever imagined. What seemed like a simple act of intercession quickly unfolded into something far deeper. Questions surfaced. Circumstances began to shift. Situations exposed truths I never expected to face. Little by little, God revealed that the storm I was so concerned about wasn't the only storm forming.
What started as a fast for someone else became a journey that exposed the places in my own life that needed healing, surrender, and transformation.
Through confusion, unexpected revelations, and moments of painful clarity, I began to understand that this fast was never only about the person I thought I was praying for. It was about what God was revealing in me, through me, and around me.
The Fast That Found Me is not a story of having all the answers. It is a story of obedience when the path doesn't make sense, trusting God when His plans look different than our own, and discovering that our desire to see God move in someone else's life can become the very doorway to a deeper invitation from God - one that reveals what He wants to heal in us.
What I thought was a fast for him, became a journey that found me.
