Joe Wearmouth has been obsessed with the American Revolution for more than twenty years. Rising Sons is the result.

Before he wrote fiction, he spent his career in the law. He graduated first in his class from law school, practiced at top firms, and served as an Assistant United States Attorney. He was in-house counsel for the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and lead counsel for a multi-agency intelligence center. He knows how power works and how a case is built. It shows on every page he writes.

He will finish a master's degree in history at Harvard Extension School in 2027. He had already finished writing Rising Sons when he decided to walk 230 miles of the Continental Army's 1776 evacuation route, Boston to New York City, on foot. He wanted 1765 in his body, not just on the page.

He lives in El Paso with his wife, Daisy, their two daughters, and their English bulldog, George.
