A translation of Icelandic rímur (rhymed recitative ballads) into Swedish by scholar and translator Theodor Wisén. The rímur tradition dates back to medieval Iceland and consists of stories of knights, Vikings and outlaws sung or recited to the accompaniment of a stringed instrument.
