Addison Collins spent her summers vacationing at her family's beach house in Pebble Beach; a small, coastal town on Vancouver Island where she met her teenage crush, Liam Tremblay, fifteen years ago. Their days were filled with beach volleyball, music, and bomb fires, while sneaking in alone time, knowing their attraction to each other was just a summer fling. While family and career didn't allow either of them to commit, Addison could never forget the memories and the magic of summers at the beach, something she is desperate to experience again.

Pebble Beach feels like the perfect escape after a breakup. Addison quits her job as a personal trainer to reevaluate her life by spending time with her widowed mom and her high-maintenance sister. She tries new things like making jam, painting walls, and defiantly not falling for the guy who broke her heart. Unfortunately, he's now out of her league and visiting his parents five doors down.

Liam Tremblay returned to Pebble Beach for familiarity, since his job as an NHL captain of the Ottawa Steam had him splitting his time between road trips. The one thing he's reminded every time he watches the sunset at his parent's beach-front home, are the summers he had with Addy. She was never bothered by his obsession with hockey or the fact that he couldn't commit to her, but he would never forgive himself for telling her he didn't want a long-distance relationship. The truth was, Liam didn't want to disappoint Addy and thought she could do better.

Fifteen years later, without contact, and lurking each other on social media, a new summer has arrived. Liam is preparing for retirement and doesn't want to face life after hockey, but it's inevitable. He wants to prove he's in the best shape to extend his contract for another season. Liam convinces Addy to help him with his fitness plan, an excuse to rekindle their relationship. She's not easy to convince after the hurt he caused, but the more time they spend together, the more they realize how much they need each other.

Pebble Beach would be the perfect place to settle after hockey, so when Addy's mom secretly mentions she's selling her beach-front house, a rare opportunity, Liam jumps at the chance to make a private deal, hoping it will bring Addy even closer. However, when his model, ex-girlfriend shows up announcing a life-changing event, Addy is faced with losing her family's house and the man she's always loved.

Can they end their summer fling for a chance of a lifetime?
