In the four years since the first Trieste Meeting on spin and polarization dynamics in nuclear and particle physics, considerable progress has been made both experimentally and theoretically. Many new results were presented at this 2nd Adriatico Research Conference which brought both theorists and experimentalists together. Polarization phenomena provides more detailed and crucial tests for our understanding of particle physics and contains a lot of new information. For this reason, considerable efforts are put into the present and future accelerators to extend the experimental data to measure polarization asymmetries for both polarized targets and polarized scattered and produced particles. This volume gives a picture of the large range of theoretical and experimental results, prospects, problems, difficulties and hopes which are at the core of particle physics today.
