Poems from the Plumber has nothing to do with plumbers or plumbing. The name simply refers to the fact that the poems were written by a plumber - to his wife.
Over the course of his marriage, Martin Salzer wrote love poems for his wife Marianne and gave them to her one at a time, often unexpectedly, over many decades. This collection gathers those poems into a single, intimate book.
