KDP Description
The human realms are behind them.
Beyond Avilonia, Laywin, and the last familiar roads, Vyx and Talos enter the No Man Lands, a vast frontier of forgotten peoples, buried machines, ancient species, and old warnings that survived long after the world forgot why they mattered.
In Harnim, they find a mountain hold built by descendants of a lost concordant, where Harnim guards, Liina road-bonders, giant ant caravans, and Dor'atha stone-workers live under the shadow of a sealed road called Korthal. But when caravans vanish and old vault signals stir beneath the mountain, Vyx and Talos uncover a horror of copper caps, stolen bodies, and a mad Dor'atha who has turned a forgotten healing system into a crown of command.
From there, the road carries them into the Forest of Insight, a living realm of bear-folk healers, memory-stones, beetle-light, and root-deep wisdom tied to the ancestral line of powers that will echo far into Edin's future. There, Talos must prove that a thinking machine is not dead metal, while Vyx learns that not every road can be carried as a wound.
But peace does not last. A frost-burned runner arrives from the northern outpost of Umalli, warning of fog-walkers, rodent swarms, and an ancient door opened beneath the snow. What waits below is not evil in any simple sense, but a sealed winter world spilling into the living one, and Vyx and Talos must descend into the city beneath the ice before desperation destroys another realm.
New Cycle: Volume Seven - No Man Lands: Part One expands the world of Edin beyond the human kingdoms into a dangerous and deeply layered frontier where old technology, species memory, survival, and forgotten history collide. As Vyx and Talos follow Korva's shadow westward, every realm they save becomes another mark on the road, another warning carried forward, and another piece of Edin remembering what it once was.
