Modern applied mechanics and mechanical engineering is a complex synthesis of fundamental physical laws and advanced digital technologies. This series of 30 articles covers a wide range of topical problems: from classical kinematics of robotic systems to high-tech methods of additive manufacturing and biomechanics. In the face of rapid technological advances, the ability to accurately model the behavior of structures under load, predict their durability, and optimize their aerodynamic performance is of key importance.The papers presented explore critical aspects of reliability - such as metal fatigue, earthquake resistance of buildings, and hydrodynamic stability of marine vessels. Particular attention is paid to the integration of computer simulation (FEM and CFD) into the design process, enabling the creation of "digital twins" and minimizing the risks of man-made accidents. The introduction considers the interdisciplinary nature of mechanics, emphasizing its links with materials science, medicine, and clean energy.
