These elements and overall composition are addressed by the artist. An original picture may be changed by photographic editing software until a more perfect image is created. Thus the "bright side" is first seen by the photographer, established by the lens and sent through the digital darkroom back into light, where the artist chooses which elements to keep or change. The completed version then appears upon the printed page.
