காஸ்ட்ரோ ஒரு பிறவி புரட்சியாளர். அவரது புரட்சி மனப்பான்மையின் வேர், அவரது விடுதலை வேட்கையில் இருந்தது.
இத்தனைக்கும் பஞ்சத்தில் அடிபட்ட வம்சத்தில் இருந்து வந்தவரல்லர் அவர். மாபெரும் பண்ணையார் குடும்பத்தின் வாரிசாகப் பிறந்தவர்.
ஆனால் தேச விடுதலைக்காக, ஏகாதிபத்திய ஒழிப்புக்காகச் சொத்து சுகங்களைத் தூக்கிப் போட்டுவிட்டுத் துப்பாக்கி ஏந்தி, காட்டுக்குள் போனவர் அவர்.
சோவியத் யூனியனே சிதறிப் போன பிறகும், இன்று வரை க்யூபா ஒரு கம்யூனிச தேசமாக உய்ரித்திருப்பதற்கும், இந்த வினாடி வரை அமெரிக்காவால் அசைத்துப் பார்க்க முடியாத இரும்புக் கோட்டையாகத் திகழ்வதற்கும் ஒரே காரணம், ஃபிடல் காஸ்ட்ரோ.
வீரமும், விடுதலை வேட்கையும் நெïசுரமும் மிக்க காஸ்ட்ரோவின் விறுவிறுப்பான வாழ்க்கை வரலாறு இது.
நூலாசிரியர் மருதன், இந்திய தீவிரவாத இயக்கங்கள் அனைத்தைக் குறித்தும் அலசி ஆராயும், 'துப்பாக்கி மொழி' நூலின் ஆசிரியர்களுள் ஒருவர். கல்கி இதழில் தொடர்ந்து எழுதிவருபவர்.

But for the freedom of his country and destruction of imperialism, he sacrificed comforts and went into the jungle taking guns with him. Even after Soviet Union was scattered, America is unable to do anything to Cuba which survives as a communist country till this moment. The sole credit for this should go to Fidel Castro. This is an interesting biography of Castro who is known for his courage and thirst for freedom.
