Eddie is a sweet young boy who never got the chance to meet his dad, but that's ok because he has the best mum in the world. Eddie adores his mum and Eddie is his mum's whole world. So when Eddie falls ill, it rocks his mum's world to the core. Even Eddie's favourite blue bunny Floopsy,can't make this go away.
Dad thought he had the perfect life, a family, a job he loved and a home that he made into a hub of happiness.
There was always a party or celebration to be had at home he loved being surrounded by his friends and family. Especially his wife who he had loved since they were teenagers, she even stood by him to help keep a dark family secret safe. He couldn't imagine life without her. So when she leaves him he has a breakdown, quickly followed by a diagnosis of dementia with only his daughter and grandson left to care for him.
Then there's me. The widow, the mother, and the daughter, just trying to get through life. We aren't put on this earth to suffer and the way I see it, we have a choice, whatever life throws at you, pick yourself up and become stronger for it. My boy is battling cancer, my dad has dementia, my mum is god knows where and my brother couldn't care less. Life is about survival and I will do what ever it takes to make sure we survive.
