Downs syndrome is a naturally occurring chromosomal arrangement that has always been a part of the human conditions, being universally present across racial, gender or socio-economic lines, and affects approximately one in 800 births worldwide causing, intellectual and physical disability and associated mental issues. As Pediatric dentists treating children of this strata is often challenging and there is a wide array of modifications that we need to make in our dental settings and our attitudes in order to bring about a change in the lives of these children. In order to know that, it is required for us to know these conditions not just from the dentist point of view but the condition as a whole. Hence this book reflects on the various aspects of Downs syndrome and a detailed explanation of the systemic conditions, the features and the management of the same in a pediatric dental clinic.
