Dance plays a fundamental role in the teaching and learning process in early childhood education, as it contributes directly to children's development, providing countless possibilities for experience. Through dance activities, children discover various ways of moving, building concepts, ideas and actions. By making movements, children get to know their bodies and their limitations, facing challenges and interacting with other children, expressing feelings and communicating through body language, contributing to both physical and intellectual development and capacity. In this way, the teaching of dance becomes of paramount importance in the school environment.
