Accompanied by his personable dog, Nerves, Hubbo tries to reconcile the charms of days gone by with the profit-driven demands of the present. At the last minute, help arrives in unexpected form: Foolish Father Foley from Farrelton, the two ghosts, and a crazy goat. But will it be enough to keep the old bridge of Mushrat Creek from demolition?
