Meet Fenrick, a sixteen-year-old antisocial supplies dealer in Al Khuwayr, a small village in Saudi Arabia that protects the struggling remnants of society after a nuclear world war has destroyed nearly everything. When Fenrick is recruited into the militia that guards the village, he embarks on a mission to the ruins of Riyadh in search of Project 7, hidden somewhere in Riyadh's military base. As Fenrick travels beyond his village for the first time in eleven years, he discovers warped monstrosities that were once people and animals.
